US poised to back billions in military aid for Taiwan

US lawmakers are poised to back as much as $10 billion to bolster Taiwan's defenses against growing tensions and threats from China as part of a compromise annual defense authorization bill, a Bloomberg reporter said in a tweet on Wednesday.
