'I now at least know the toss and team decisions beforehand'

A relieved Nazmul Hassan Papon told the media, "I now at least know what they are going to do if they win the toss and who are players that are going to play. I hadn’t been made aware of these before."

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan Papon always likes to get involved with the decision making and now the skippers have to make him aware of what they would do if they win the toss.

Papon recently revealed that he was misinformed before the pink ball Test in Kolkata in 2019. Head coach Russell Domingo and skipper Mominul Haque informed him that Bangladesh would field if they won the toss but did otherwise on the following day. The decision infuriated the BCB President.

But he has been made aware of every decision during the ongoing Sri Lanka tour- from team selection to toss.

A relieved Nazmul Hassan Papon told the media, "I now at least know what they are going to do if they win the toss and who are players that are going to play. I hadn't been made aware of these before."

"If I know about these, then I can tell them about my choices. The communication is there now," he added.

Hassan opined that the presence of Khaled Mahmud Sujon as the team leader will lift the spirits of the team.
