The film tells the story of the protagonist Naima, who longs for earning money for her poor family, but her unrivalled artistic talent is of little use.

Novera Rahman plays the role of Naima, who is the free-spirited daughter of a rickshaw puller. She grew up in a village and her life is as colourful as the alpana (motif) she draws.

Her earnings from drawing alpana are not sufficient to run her family. However, that does not stop her from experimenting with colours and paintbrushes. In the big city, she disguises herself as a boy and takes the job of a rickshaw puller.

The movie stars an ensemble cast, including Naresh Bhuiyan, Allen Shubhro Gomes, Momena Chowdhury, and Champa.

Eric James Adams produced the film while Faridur Reza Sagor and Ziauddin Adil are the joint executive producers.

Based on Mitali Perkins' best-selling book of the same name, the screenplay was written by Naseef Faruque Amin and Quantico-famed Sharbari Zohra Ahmed.
