Actor Shamsunnahar Smrity, popularly known as Pori Moni, on Wednesday night claimed attempts are being made to harass her intentionally and in a planned way to hide boat club's incident.

She made the claim while talking to reporters at her residence in Banani at night over allegations of misconduct by club's President KM Alamgir Iqbal.

"It's very clear and I understand now in many ways ... it's a conspiracy," she said.

"If they plan to harass me, it's actually disappointing. I am not mentally and physically right now. And if I have done something so unpleasant, then why did it come in front of the media after so long."

She also demanded for proper investigation of the incident.

Now another club raises allegations of vandalism against Pori Moni

Gulshan-based All Community Club President KM Alamgir Iqbal on Wednesday claimed that actor Pori Moni vandalised the club on 8 June.

The club has also filed a general diary in this regard, he added. However, the police denied that any case was filed.

The president raised the allegation at a press conference arranged by the club authorities on the matter.

"Pori Moni had broken 15 glasses, some ashtrays and some plates," said the club president.

Pori Moni, in a press conference on Sunday, alleged that she had been sexually assaulted and threatened with murder at Dhaka Boat Club on 9 June after midnight.

Tuhin Siddiqui Omi and businessman Nasiruddin Mahmood are now in police custody for interrogation after they were arrested on Monday in a case filed over the attempted rape and murder Pori Moni.

Ctg Port Gets A Boost: The Chattogram port officially starts to berth vessels with 10 metres drought on Monday. As of now, only 9.5m draught vessels could anchor at the port, each carrying 2,500 TEUs. But the 10m draught ship will be able to carry 4,000 TEUs, bumping up the port’s container handling capacity and bringing down costs. The photo was taken recently from the port area.
