An elegant space outfitted with opulence shows how sacredly you take your interior decorating. Adding noble accents and materials in a quiet way will keep the feel of your space timeless.

You have a living space filled with class personified furniture. A collection of fine arts complementing the silky walls. Luxurious linens for windows and a stylish hand-knotted rug for the floor. A Sitar, or a guitar, in a corner. Your elegant living space looks fine unless you lift your head upwards.

Regular energy-saving bulbs very bright, but flat, and very dull.

Consider adding the finest quality chandelier. The overhead lighting fixture will be the statement lighting for your living room, oozing of fancy, but an elegant taste.

One caution though, lavish brands do come with a hefty price tag, and only look fit for large households.

A decor held high

Chandeliers—a symbol of triumph and social standing, was reversed as decorative lights. They are mounted on ceilings and in some cases on walls—speaking of luxury, power, and class.

Many chandeliers illuminate straight from the bulbs, while others glow from refraction.

Modern chandeliers are growing in popularity as a luxury interior decor, thanks to the thriving real estate scene in Bangladesh. People are building more and more top-shelf apartments and duplex villas.

As the game-changing, finishing touch, a chandelier is all you need to give your place the final uplift in decoration.

Where to find a chandelier

Exploring the markets in Dhaka, you will find an exquisite collection of top notch chandeliers. High-end stores like Satori, High Fashion Gallery Limited, and Creative I limited, have variety of chandelier collections.

Creative I Limited is a prominent store for enviable interior solutions, chandeliers in particular. Shah Moazzem Hossain, general manager of the store, shared his first-hand experience.

"Chandelier is a slow-selling product, compared to other luxury decors," said Moazzem.

"The prerequisite for buying a large chandelier is to have a large and high-ceilinged room. The most important part of a chandelier is its crystal. Turkish crystals are used in luxury chandeliers," he added.

In one of the stores, upon turning the lights on of all the chandeliers, the place looked incredibly festive, like a dreamland of some kind. Imagine how it would blend into your plushy household!

The empire style chandelier is a classic design that exudes traditional grandeur to your room. The empire style lamp is defined by its shape.

This chandelier consists of two parts- the upper portion is cone shaped, while the lower part is formed like a bowl or an inverted bell.

These are expensive for their all-Turkish crystal made pendants. This special design of crystal chandelier comes with a price tag of Tk9.5 lakh.

Crystal candle style chandelier

This tiered chandelier has its lights arranged on many levels. There are two variants of this type of chandelier. The modern one with lights that look like candles, and the old variant that uses actual candles. Nowadays, the more common of the two is the modern one. The LEDs shine bright while the orthodox design adds a vintage touch.

Crystal candle style is also a high-end product for its all-Turkish crystal pendant made body. This candle style chandelier is priced at Tk5.5 lakh.

Waterfall style chandelier

This chandelier's name speaks for itself. It is basically a variant of the crystal chandelier, where the crystals are shaped after droplets of water.
It creates an illusion of a fresh-flowing waterfall, only more glowing in nature. The waterfall chandelier can come in a variety of bases – round, square, geometric, etc.

It is also considered as one of the top shelved products. One can assume that the price is as luxurious as the design.

Chandeliers are there to feed the elegant souls. Sure, the object of desire costs a little extra, or a lot, but what is a little money against a smooth and brightly illuminated living space?

If elegance is your style, you may consider paying a visit to the chandelier markets, and pick a grand chandelier that rightly serves your luxury space.
