BMW 7 launched in the local market

BMW updates its cars at the midpoint through their life cycles. This is known as an LCI, or Life Cycle Impulse. In BMW terms, it happens to every car about three years into its model year.

The New 7 Series got the LCI treatment for the 2019-2020 model year with several improvements in departments like driving, connectivity and comfort.

To win over competitive players such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or the Audi A8, BMW seemed to satisfy the needs of its demanding customers: the New 7 has improved by making the vehicle more imposing, look more when compared with a 3 or a 5 Series, and provide special features for drivers.

Exterior

The New 7 Series is 22 mm longer than its predecessors. Thanks to its long-wheelbase, passengers will feel more stable at breakneck speed because of the car's larger footprint on the road.

The kidney grille in the front, the company's brand identity, gets bigger. The hood gains new creases, and the front bumper is now more angular, which gives it a stylish look. With all things growing bigger, surprisingly, the headlight cluster is now slimmer.

Interior

In terms of interior, the vehicle gets a serious update to the cabin. Surrounding light, ambient air, massage function, seat ventilation, massive panoramic roof with LED lighting graphics, as you call it and this car has everything.

The sumptuous quality of leather upholstery combined with wood provides a rich experience. The cabin is even quieter than before because of the optimised acoustic comfort. The new generation iDrive with the BMW 7.0 operating system is very intuitive and easy to use.

The "Rear Executive Lounge Seating" package includes a power footrest, foldout tray in the center console, a removable 7-inch tablet, two large TV screens, and an armrest.

Performance

The sedan, with full-hybrid drive option, comes with a 3-litre engine instead of the regular 2-litre engine. Its six-cylinder petrol engine is married to an electric motor that gives an output of 394 horsepower, with a system torque of 600 newton-metres.

This car brings the latest eDrive technology, which comprises an electric motor, a high-voltage battery and an intelligent energy management strategy.

The vehicle needs 5.1 seconds to reach 0-100 km/h.  So far, the maximum speed of the sedan was clocked at 250 km/h.

For fuel consumption, the car can take up to 2.1litres/100 km, but with Bangladesh's roads and traffic in mind, it would consume more.

Local Offer

Starting with a Tk2.5 crore showroom price, BMW 7 Series cars offer free after-sales services for five years, according to Dewan Muhammad Sajid Afzal, operations head of Executive Motors Ltd, the local distributor of BMW.

As of now, the vehicle is being used by the President, the Prime Minister, the Speaker and the Chief Justice of our country, so be assured that the vehicle is the top favourite for the big shots.
