Jannatul Ferdoush Peya has become a leading presence in Bangladesh's modelling scene since she started her career 11 years ago.

In an interview with The Business Standard, Peya talked about her everyday schedule and the person she really is underneath all the glamour.

Since her shoots require her to wear make-up all the time, naturally we wanted to know about the work that goes on behind maintaining her flawless looks.

Peya confessed that she does not rely on heavy makeup, in fact only she spends about five minutes to achieve a no-makeup look with minimum products.

Instead of layers of makeup, she feels skincare is more important but there are brands that she prefers over others. She likes to use products by Urban Decay and Sephora but her go-to foundation is one by Elizabeth Arden. She also likes to use brands such as Body Shop and Neutrogena.

When it comes to perfumes, the glam girl's favourite is Dior's 'Addict'. One tiny thing she revealed to us was that she uses this fragrance when there is something special going on in her life! She has a wide collection of perfumes as gifts, and she uses the one that suits her mood best for that day.

For someone so popular, she is not overly self-conscious about whether her skin is perfect or whether her décolletage shows. In her own words, "I am as comfortable in a bikini as I am in a sari."

She follows fashion trends that she can pull off. Instead of following typical trends like everyone else, she prefers to indulge in her own style and set her own trends.

A major part of Peya's look is her impeccable physique, and she agreed that it takes a lot of hard work. In order to maintain her weight and tone her muscles, she does no cardio, only strength training and weight lifting.

Additionally, she carefully chooses what she eats. Ice cream, chocolate, cheese and similar calorific items are virtually absent from her diet. She does not indulge in eating these at all. "I only eat to live and not the other way round," she explained.

Peya suggested anyone who wants to come into the modelling industry should start early, as it takes a long time to know one's self-confidence and build it up. She also emphasized on the importance of a proper education.

She herself has always been studious and studied to become a lawyer, while simultaneously pursuing her modelling career. She is now a practicing lawyer and manages her various businesses. Being a multi-tasker has always been one of her skills.

Despite a tight schedule, Peya does not forget to bring out some time only for herself. Her hobbies include watching television, be it Netflix, YouTube or simply Bangla dramas or series.

She prefers non-fiction and motivational books. Right now, she is going through the books 'The 7 habits of highly effective people' and 'So good they can't ignore you'.
