The internet offers tons of weird things to buy and explore, and in our years of exploration, we thought we had certainly seen it all.
Until we saw"Green Chilli Roshogolla"being sold on the popular food app "Cookups".
We did a small search and came across some crazy food items and to be honest, Green Chilli Roshogolla seemed tame compared to some of the other items.

We set the definition of weird food pretty loosely – we did some researching in Cookups and took information about the dishes and recipes from there.

From strange looking snacks to confusing meals to unique desserts, here are five bizarre food items that can be found on Cookups.
Deep-fried 'Narkel-erNaru'
This item was posted on Cookups by Kitchen Drama by Shorna, and it costs Tk450 (including delivery charge) for 12 pieces.
Though the name of the dish is "Dry Gokul Pitha" but the description caught our attention. It said, "If you are narkel (coconut) ernaru lover, then this deep-fried naru is waiting for you."
Well, the description did not disappoint us at all, because the dish is literally "narkel-ernaru" (coconut and jaggery balls) deep fried in batter.
But the batter was too thick and soggy which did not add anything new to the original taste of the naru.
If the fried batter layer was thinner and a bit crunchy, it might have been tastier, but still, it was good as a sweet snack.
Vegan Rainbow Achari Tortilla Wrap
The vegan rainbow achari tortilla wrap is just a confusing version of the regular"ruti-bhaji" combination we eat for breakfast.
The "rutis" (tortillas) come in three different colours, green, purple, and yellow, and the "alu-bhaji" (stir fried potatoes) is seasoned with "achar" (pickle).
We hesitated before taking the first bite, but the taste was actually okay.
But the taste of the pickle is so strong that you will forget there are any other ingredients inside the wrap. You can feel the crunch of the fried potatoes but cannot taste it for the overpowering pickle.
The item is sold by Shanchayita BD and it costs TK700(including delivery charge) for three wraps. It might not give a shock to your taste buds, but it can definitely shock your wallet!
Green Chilli flavoured 'Roshogolla'
This is the most trending food on Cookups now. The dish is by Samorj Sultana and costs Tk425 (including delivery charge) for 300gm.
Snow-white roshogollas drowned in an eerie green syrup with actual green chillies floating on top was pretty scary to look at.
But the taste was not terrible. It tasted almost like regular roshogolla with a hint of green chilli and lemon flavour.
It is not spicy at all, but the smell and flavour of green chilli added a different dimension to the sweets.
It is not a marvellous dish, but it is something different you might want to taste once in a while for a fun experience.
The roshogollas tasted pretty amazing, they were soft and spongy. If you are interested in creative and fusion food, this one is heavily recommended.
Jolpaier Kalojam
"Kalojam" is a popular sweet in Bangladesh, and "jolpai" (olive) is a sour fruit, mostly used for achar or chutney.
The name "JolpaierKalojam" was confusing for us, was it a sweet dish or a savoury one?Did"kalojam" have to do something with the fruit "jaam"(black plum)?
These questions almost gave us anxiety till we took the first bite. It was a pickle!
There were no sweet elements in the dish whatsoever. Basically, it was "jolpaiachar" (olive pickle)shaped like kalojam.
As a pickle, it wasn't bad but we usually make far better and less confusing pickles at home than this 20 piece dish which costs Tk350 (including delivery charge). The item was sold by Fahmida Milly on Cookups.
'Fuchka' flavoured 'Roshogolla'
This was a cringe worthy name. This was also by Samorj Sultana and it costs TK450 (including delivery charge) for 300gm.
Floating green coriander leaves in a sweet and sour tamarind syrup with big brown roshogollas was not at all appealing to look at.
It took a lot of courage to take the first bite, and the experience was not that pleasant.
It did not taste like roshogollah at all, rather it tasted closer to"doibora" minus the yummy yoghurt sauce.
If you think of roshogollah while tasting it, you would be pretty disappointed. But take the roshogolla out of the picture, and the dish is somewhat edible.
But it is a purposeless food. It shouts out that "there needs to be a limitation to being creative with food."
