The board of directors of Shahjibazar Power Co Ltd has recently appointed Anis Salahuddin Ahmad as its chairperson.

Ahamd received his higher diploma from Italy and Jakarta and upon return briefly joined Bangladesh's hospitality industry, Shahjibazar Power said in a press statement on Thursday.

He joined a garments buying house in 1986. During his tenure there he travelled extensively to Europe and the Far East.

Ahamd forayed into the business arena in 1996 by joining Youth Group of Companies.

Over the years he built a prolific business career by dint of his dynamic engagement in textile trading and other manufacturing businesses.

He is a member of the board of Australian International School, and Islamic Finance and Investment Limited.
