Mercantile Bank launches mobile app "MBL Rainbow" marking the bank's 22nd anniversary

Mercantile Bank Limited (MBL) has celebrated its 22nd founding anniversary with the launch of its new app-based banking service "MBL Rainbow".

The bank's Chairman Morshed Alam inaugurated the launch of the app-based banking service at the bank's headquarters in the capital on Wednesday, said an MBL press release.

The app is available for download on Google Play Store and Apple App Store for customers to download and get access to their desired banking services from anywhere in the country.

The bank's Managing Director and CEO Md Quamrul Islam Chowdhury; Directors Al-Haj Akram Hossain (Humayun), M Amanullah, Md Anwarul Haque, Dr Gazi Mohammad Hasan Jamil, MA Khan Belal, ASM Feroz Alam, Md Abdul Hannan, Md Nasiruddin Choudhury, Alhaj Mosharref Hossain, Mohammad Abdul Awal, and Dr Md Rezaul Kabir; The bank's Additional Managing Director Mati Ul Hasan, Deputy Managing Directors Gaus-Ul-Wara Md. Mortaza, Md. Zakir Hossain, Adil Raihan, Shamim Ahmed, Hasne Alam and Md. Mahmood Alam Chowdhury, along with other senior officials of the bank were present in the ceremony.

In his speech, Morshed Alam, Chairman of the Bank, highlighted the progress made by the bank in all indicators including the number of customers, branches, deposit collection, and said that Mercantile Bank has established itself as a sustainable and first-class bank by 22 years of hard work.

He also promised customer-friendly banking services in the future by emphasising good corporate governance.

Morshed hoped that customers would get access to technology-based banking with the mobile app 'MBL Rainbow'.

Speaking on the occasion, Md Kamrul Islam Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, said that keeping pace with the times, Mercantile Bank has come up with mobile app-based digital banking service 'MBL Rainbow'.

As smartphones are readily available, customers can use this app on their mobile phones from home to receive the necessary banking services. Through this, the customer will get the required banking services, including bank account opening, fund transfer, utility bill payment, and Kamrul.
