Bangladesh Bank awards LankaBangla Finance for aiding women entrepreneurs

The LankaBangla Finance Ltd has received award from the Bangladesh Bank for helping women set up small and medium enterprises, said a press release. The award was handed over recently at the closing ceremony of a fair titled "Banker-SME Women Entrepreneur and Product Display-2020."

Bangladesh Bank organised the four-day fair at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management premises in MIrpur in the capital. The fair marked the International Women's Day with a view to promoting women entrepreneurs.

LankaBangla received the award for supporting financial inclusion of women in cottage, micro, small and medium enterprises. Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir handed over the award to Managing Director and CEO of LankaBangla Finance Khwaja Shahriar.

On the final day of the fair, members of Small and Medium Enterprise Division of LankaBangla Finance Ltd were present at the stalls 24 and 25 with the bank's specialised loan facilities for women investors like Shikha Anonnya, Shikha SME Deposit Schemes among others.

Md Kamruzzaman Khan, head of SME Division of LankaBangla Finance Limited was also present at the closing ceremony. Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir later thanked all aspiring entrepreneurs and their enterprises for participating in the fair.
