US-Bangla adds 13th aircraft to its fleet

US-Bangla Airlines recently added another 72-seater aircraft and increased its fleet number to 13.

The aircraft was manufactured in France and landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday, said a press release.

US-Bangla aims to increase its number of domestic flights and fly in new routes with the new aircraft.

The Adviser of US-Bangla Airlines, Capt Sikder Mezbahuddin Ahmed was present among others to receive the airbus at the airport.

Speaking on the occasion, Capt Ahmed said "We promised safe and comfortable journey to all our valued customers. We take pride to be the best service provider with highest level of safety. We will continue to develop as the best airline of this country and in this region."

"We are the biggest private airline in the country but it does not make us proud. What we are proud of is, we kept our promise to our valued customers by providing safe and comfortable flights with brand new and most modern aircrafts with the best technologies available in the world," added Capt Ahmed.

The airline started its operation in 2014 with two 76-seater aircrafts and a maiden flight to Jashore. Later, it introduced international flights starting with Kathmandu.

Currently, the airline flies to Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Jashore, Saidpur, Sylhet, Rajshahi and Barisal among domestic routes and to Kolkata, Chennai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Muscat and Doha among international routes.

US-Bangla is planning to add four more new ATR 72-600 aircrafts to its fleet by June 2020.
