A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Dubai landed at Sylhet International Airport on Saturday after failing to land in Chattogram due to dense fog.

Domestic flight schedules of three airlines from Dhaka airport to Chattogram were disrupted due to fog as well. The air traffic became normal after three hours at around 11:15 am.

Wing Commander Farhad Hossain, manager of Shah Amanat International Airport, told The Business Standard that the Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Dubai with 200 passengers could not land at Chittagong International Airport at around 8 am due to low visibility.

"The flight returned to Chattogram from Sylhet later at 11:15 am," he added.

Farhad Hossain further said that three flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines and two private airlines from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to Chattogram could not arrive as scheduled due to fog.

"After 3 hours, when the situation returned to normal, the domestic flights landed in Chattogram at around 11 am," he added.
