Five international flights had to make an unscheduled landing at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport instead of Chattogram's Shah Amanat International Airport this morning due to poor visibility at the airport.

Chattogram Airport Manager Wing Commander Sarwar E Zaman said, "Visibility was very low at the airport till 9am due to the thick fog."

"The overall situation of the airport started getting normal from 10am," he added.

The flight operations at the Chattogram airport were halted for 12 hours from Saturday 9:30pm to Sunday 9:30am due to the dense fog.
