Universal Amity is a completely charity organisation run by collecting donation. About ten young recent graduates has decided to do something for people. As a result with the advice and instruction of their faculty Mehedi Hasan, they formed the organisation in 2015.
They said that those who are involved have a common ground which is serving humanity, that is why they collaborate themselves and make their slogan We Serve Humanity, a press release said.
Universal Amity taken their first step at 2015 by providing relief to around 500 Flood Effected Families at Lalmonirhat. They continue their journey by taking their step forward; as a result they again take their heartiest initiative to stand beside the flood affected people of Kurigram at 2016. They were support around 600 families in that time by providing food. For serving humanity they moved their activities to Kurigram again at 2017, 2018 and 2019 as well to support flood effected people. They provided cloths, food and cash to around 500 to 600 families each time.
Recently at the time of coronavirus disease (covid-19) they support medication to the near about 50 poor people from different place in the country and Envelope for Eid Greetings to 60 families at Nilphamari.
In the meantime the super cyclone Am occurred at the south of the country in May 21, 2020. Universal Amity called an emergency meeting and taken decision very fast to enhance their hand to the effected people. Founder of Universal Amity, Mehedi Hasan, Asst Prof of Khulna University with some member has gone to Darum Mallik Ghat, Paikgacha, Khulna and distribute cash support to more than 100 families.
In Bangladesh Eid is the most celebrated event that is why Universal Amity donates poor people before every Eid to earn a smile on their face on Eid day. They also organised every year Sehri and Iftar programme to bring happiness between poor people.
They also organise educational support as well. Universal Amity is thinking to take sponsorship for child to take full responsibility to nursing them. Besides that they research spontaneously to take more initiative for serving humanity.
In this context Mehedi Hasan, founder of Universal Amity Said, "We believe that charity is a habit, if you can identify the right people who have interest in donation, you will get feedback positively. We just try heart and soul to place that donation to the right people at right time."
President of the organisation Asif Hasan said, "It was not an easy task to us to taken this type of initiative and go ahead, but when we successfully complete our first step it was increase lots of courage among us which helps us till now to do something dedicatedly for serving humanity. He also added that we feel really very pleasure to do this."
