Berger wins ‘Top VAT Payer’ for sixth time

Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd (BPBL) has been recognised as "Top VAT Payer" at the national level under the Manufacturing category for financial year 2018-2019.

According to a press release, this is the sixth time Berger has won the accolade.

Rupali Chowdhury, managing director of BPBL and President of Foreign Investors' Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FICCI), received the award on behalf of the company on 10 December, it added.

The award was handed over by the chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR).

"Berger, as a nationwide celebrated company, feels responsible for complying with the VAT regulations of the country. We aim to adhere to our commitment to compliance in the years ahead as well, and encourage all companies of our country to emphasise VAT compliance for the development of the nation," said Rupali Chowdhury.
