The ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route have resumed after it had been on halt for 3-hour due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

The suspension order was lifted around 8:30am after the visibility improved.

Earlier, the authorities of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) suspended the services between 5.30 am and 8.30am to avoid accidents.

Zillur Rahman, deputy general manager (DGM) of BIWTC Aricha office, confirmed the matter and said "Heavy fog started to disrupt the visibility since mid-night. As it came to the point when the marking lights became blurry, the authority decided to suspend the services temporarily to avoid any mishap."
