Prisoner dies in Kashimpur Jail 

A prisoner died in Kashimpur Central Jail in Gazipur Saturday.

The death of prisoner Ibrahim Hossain, 45, son of Abdus Samad hailing from Jashore was confirmed by Jail authority. 

Kashimpur Jail Superintendent Gias Uddin said Ibrahim was taken to the jail hospital when he suddenly fainted at around 1:19 am. However, he was later sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated and he breathed his last there. 

Earlier, Ibrahim was arrested and sent to Dhaka Central Jail on 23 December 2017. From there he was sent to Kashimpur Jail on 15 February 2018. 

Ibrahim had been suffering from heart disease for a long time. He had earlier suffered a heart attack and was treated at the National Heart Foundation Hospital from 16 January to 28 January this year.
