Palak urges youths to be aware of anti-nationals
The state minister for ICT distributed prizes to seven winners of the “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Quiz’s Live Lottery” on Tuesday.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak has said that grooming a liberal democratic, superstition-free, progressive, and non-communal generation is critical to building the "Golden Bengal" envisioned by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He said, "The nation will never accept any insult to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu. Youths must be vocal against and aware of the anti-nationals among us."
He called upon everyone, including youths, to work as a united front as soldiers of Bangabandhu's ideology to build a knowledge-based, developed Bangladesh under Sheikh Hasina's leadership.
He made the statements during a digital platform on Tuesday night, when prizes were distributed amongst winners of "Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Quiz's Live Lottery," organised by the National Implementation Committee for Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's 100th Anniversary Celebration.
Nishat Tasnim, a student from Dhaka district, won 1st prize in the third week's live lottery and received a laptop, said a press release from the Information and Communication Technology Division.
Rimon, a sixth grader from Dinajpur, participated in the quiz and won a laptop. The state minister for ICT also promised to set up a Sheikh Russel Digital Lab at the school where Rimon's father works.
Shahaed Ahmed, a madrasah student from Sylhet, also won a laptop and the state minister promised to set up a Sheikh Russel Digital Lab at his madrasah.
Shakil Ahmed from Jashore won a smart phone, while Osman Khan from Satkhira, Riyad Mahmud from Bhola, and Sraboni Das from Chattogram all won laptops.
Of 42,000 participants, the state minister awarded prizes to the seven winners randomly selected by computer.
