During the drive, the authorities used loudspeakers to create awareness among the public regarding Covid-19 and advised them to follow government’s health guidelines

Mobile courts operating in the Dhaka North City Corporation have fined businesses Tk3.88 lakh in 33 cases for violating the rules to curb the Covid-19 infections, running businesses without licence, keeping expired food items in stock, and disregarding the hygiene rules on Saturday.

Mobile courts led by Executive Magistrate Md Abdullah Al Mamun collected around Tk3 lakh in three cases, Executive Magistrate Rifat Ferdaus collected Tk6,300 in eight cases, Executive Magistrate Md Nasir Uddin Mahmud collected Tk10,000 in five cases, Executive Magistrate Saleha Binte Siraj collected Tk2,300 in three  cases,  Executive Magistrate Md Mizanur Rahman collected Tk12,100 in six cases, Executive Magistrate Md Abed Ali collected Tk17,000 in six cases, and Executive Magistrate Tajwar Akram Sakapi Ibne Sajjad collected Tk40,000 in two cases.

During the drive, the authorities used loudspeakers to create awareness among the public regarding Covid-19 and advised them to follow government's health guidelines. They also distributed hand sanitiser and masks among the people.
