Md Khorshed Alam Sujon, vice president of Chattogram city Awami League, has been appointed as the administrator of Chattogram City Corporation.

He has been appointed as the tenure of the current Chattogram City Corporation Mayor --AJM Nasir Uddin will expire on August 5, said a gazette notification of the Local Government and Rural Development Ministry today.

Khorshed Alam Sujon will carry out the duty for 180 days, starting from August 6.

The Election Commission postponed Chattogram City Corporation election that was slated to be held on March 29 due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
