Shut all unregistered pvt hospitals, clinics within 72hrs: DGHS
No healthcare centres will be allowed to run their activities without valid license, said health authorities

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has asked all unregistered private hospitals, clinics and diagnostic centres across the country to shut down their operations within 72 hours.
The health authorities made the decision in a meeting, presided over by the Additional Director General of DGHS Professor Dr Ahmedul Kabir, at the directorate's conference room on Wednesday.
The local administration and law enforcement agencies will carry out drives to close these unregistered healthcare organisations, reads a notice from the DGHS.
Also, the organisations which have been registered but the registration has not been renewed will be given a fixed time for renewal, exceeding which will lead to shut down of that organisation as well.
If anyone except registered doctors is present during administering anaesthesia and assisting in the operation theatre, the licence of that organisation as well as those involved will be revoked, adds the statement.
