Covid registration app 'Surokkha' to be public on 4 Feb

The coronavirus registration app "Surokkha" will be available on Google Play for download from 4 February.

Professor Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam, director general of the Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS) came up with the information from a programme on Aedes larvae density survey.

"Surokkha" is an application and website made for online registration of Covid-19 vaccine recipients.

People can download the Surokkha app from the Google Play Store or Apple's App Store.

People can register for vaccination at  www.surokkha.gov.bd

To receive the jab, people have to register online. To register, they must first download the "Surokkha" app from the Play Store. Then they have to register for the vaccine with their phone and NID numbers in the app.

While registering for using the app, they will also have to provide detailed information, notably their names, dates of birth, information on whether they have any other physical complications, occupations, etc.

Each person will receive two doses of the coronavirus vaccine. Details of the first and second doses can be found through the app.
