Govt confirms 52 deaths from dengue
Private sources claim that the figure has exceeded 150.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has confirmed five more deaths from dengue, which takes the official death toll caused by the mosquito-borne disease to 52.
“The Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research has confirmed five more deaths from dengue. With this, the death toll has risen to 52,” Dr Ayesha Akhtar, the assistant director of Emergency Service and Control Room of the Health Department, told The Business Standard on Monday.
Private sources, however, claim that the figure has exceeded 173.
