Team BaxSpace wins ULAB Hult Prize

Members of team BaxSpace have been declared the winners University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) Hult Prize 2020.

The team was declared as winners of the prize in the grand finale which was held online on Friday, said a press release issued by ULAB

Team Peacemakers and Team FooDonors have also been declared as runners Up and second runners up of the ULAB HULT Prize among 11 other finalists, the release added

All three teams will represent ULAB in the Hult Prize Regional competition.

Vice-Chancellor of ULAB Professor Dr HM Jahirul Haque was present at the event as chief guest.

The esteemed panel of judges included Dean of ULAB School of Business Professor Imran Rahman, Managing Director of YN Group of Industries Mohammad Yeasin Tutul, and Sponsor of ULAB Hult prize, Co-founder, and CEO of Chaldal.com Zia Ashraf, Founder and CEO of Priyoshop.com Ashikul Alam Khan and Fahad Iftaz, Co-founder and CEO of ifarmer.asia.

HULT Prize is an esteemed business competition that sources unique and sustainable business ideas from the leaders of tomorrow.

This year the theme for the competition was "Food for Good".

The ULAB Hult prize committee in collaboration with ULAB Co-curricular Office organized the 5-month long event which concluded through the grand finale where team BaxSpace was declared winners.

ULAB Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr HM Jahirul Haque said, "ULAB always encourages co-curricular and extra co-curricular activities because to be successful one must have some extraordinary soft skills and abilities."

The dates for Hult Prize Regionals are yet to be announced, the release added.
