Robi-10 Minute School launches first ever ebook on spoken English

Robi-10 Minute School has launched the first ever ebook on Spoken English, "Ghore Boshe Spoken English" for learners of all ages.

The ebook is affordably priced at 75 taka only to benefit people from all socio-economic backgrounds said a press release issued by Robi on Thursday.

With the sale of 70,000+ copies within just two months of its online publication, the ebook has already become an online bestseller the release added.

The ebook has been received good reviews beyond Bangladesh as a large number of Bangladeshi expats living in Qatar, Malaysia, India, Singapore and America have bought the ebook already.

The online book "Ghore Boshe Spoken English" authored by Munzereen Shahid and published by Robi-10 Minute School, has 72 chapters that cover the entire spectrum of application areas for Spoken English.

Structured around "easy-medium-hard-advanced" levels of usage of the language, the ebook covers the most common situations one would have to deal with while speaking in English, said the release.

Starting off with easy topics like how to introduce oneself in English, and how to talk about the weather in English, the ebook also deals with difficult topics like presentations, visa interviews, talking with foreigners and hosting programmes in English at length.

The ebook has 10 chapters dedicated to advanced learners covering more difficult Spoken English topics like English idioms, common Spoken English errors, pronunciation mistakes, and many such issues, said the release.

The release also said that it is particularly useful for the spoken section of the IELTS exam, job interviews, presentations, viva and English speaking in general. Besides, people who are exploring overseas job opportunities or wishing to secure admission in foreign Universities will also find it very helpful.

Having completed her Masters of Arts in applied linguistics and English language teaching with first class from Dhaka University, the ebook's author, Munzereen Shahid is set to start her second Masters, an MSc in applied linguistics and second language acquisition in Oxford University from October this year. Munzereen has received the prestigious British Chevening Scholarship to study in Oxford University.
