Police have given an ultimatum to protesting students of seven colleges, affiliated with Dhaka University, to remove the blockade Nilkhet Intersection within next five minutes.
Sajjadur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Ramna Zone confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
"If the students do not clear road immediately, police will go in action," said the DC adding that meeting will be held on this regard in the evening.
"We have requested students to clear road as huge traffic congestion has been created in adjoining areas, "said the police official.
The students have been staging a demonstration blocking Nilkhet intersection in the capital from Wednesday morning protesting the decision to postpone all ongoing examinations.
The blockade triggered immense sufferings to the city commuters including office-goers.
