Mahbub elected JUJA president, Abir general secretary

Jahangirnagar University Journalists's Association (JUJA) has announced new executive committee for the 2021 session. 

The association has elected Mahbub Alam, university correspondent of the Daily Inqilab, as the president and Banglanews24.com correspondent Abir Abdullah has been made general secretary of the committee. 

The new committee was announced after voting was held online from 10am-1pm on Sunday. 
Dr Md Motahar Hossain, chief Election Commissioner and professor at the department of Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of the university announced the election result. 

The other members are Vice President Tarek Aziz, university correspondent of the Daily Observer; Joint General Secretary Belal Hossain, The Daily Campus correspondent; Treasurer Alkama Azad of Dhaka Post, Office and Publication Secretary Osman Gani Russel of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha. 

Besides, Mahbuba Akbar of SwadhinBangla24.com, Shahadat Hossain of New Age and Arifuzzaman Ujjal of Daily Ittefaq have been elected as active members.
