The application deadline for cluster-wise admission tests of 20 public universities has been extended until 25 June.
The development came following the postponement of the cluster-based admission tests as the country's Covid-19 situation deteriorated.
The 20 public universities including technology universities were scheduled to hold three tests -- one for the humanitarian group, one for Commerce and another one for Science on 19 June, 26 June and 3 July, respectively.
The vice-chancellors of the universities took the decision today at a virtual meeting, reports the daily Prothom Alo quoting Barishal University Vice-Chancellor Md Sadequl Arefin.
To participate in examinations for subjects under commerce stream, the aspirant must have GPA-6.5 collectively in HSC and SSC examinations.
In the subjects under science stream, the aspirants with a minimum collective GPA-7 will be eligible to sit in the examinations.
The universities are - Islamic University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Khulna University, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, Noakhali University of Science and Technology, Jagannath University. Cumilla University, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Jashore University of Science and Technology, Begum Rokeya University, Pabna University of Science and Technology, Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology, Barishal University, Rangamati University of Science and Technology, Rabindra University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Sheikh Hasina University, and Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University.
