2 killed, 5 injured in Chattogram road accident
The accident took place in College market area of Karnaphuli upazila on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway
Two people got killed in a bus accident in Shikalbaha of Chattogram's Karnaphuli upazila on Sunday.
Five other people also got injured in the accident, which took place in the College market area on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway.
The deceased could not be identified. The injured were treated in various local hospitals.
Zahidul Islam Arman, sub-inspector of Karnaphuli Police Station, said, "A local bus named Mannan Express was heading towards Chattogram city at noon. At that time, a sand-laden pickup coming from the opposite direction lost control. The bus overturned on the side of the road while trying to pass the pickup."
"A man and a woman died on the spot. But the pickup could not be seized," he added.
