DB arrests fake RAB men and dacoits
A press briefing will be held at the police headquarters to disclose further details at 11am.
The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police detained three fake members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and four members of a dacoit group on Wednesday night.
The miscreants were detained from various areas of the capital in two separate drives.
The DB police detained the pseudo RAB members with Handcuffs, wireless communication devices, elite force jackets, among other items, in their possession.
In another drive, the elite force detained four members of a dacoit group.
The dacoits were in possession of a privately owned car, a pistol, several rounds of bullets and undisclosed number of yaba tablets – all of which were seized by the police.

Moshiur Rahman, deputy commissioner of DB (north division), confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
