Legal notice served to compensate Regent Hospital fraud victims
The notice has also asked to publish the list of all licensed hospitals and diagnostic centres in the country and form a health monitoring committee in each upazila
A Supreme Court lawyer has sent a legal notice to the government and Regent Hospital authorities seeking Tk10 lakh compensation for each of those who have been cheated by the hospital.

Supreme Court Lawyer Barrister Abdul Halim sent the notice to the health secretary, home secretary, director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and managing director of Regent Hospital on Sunday.
Barrister Abdul Halim said, "Within 48 hours, the list of the licensed hospitals has to be published and the announcement of giving the compensation has to be made. Otherwise, we will file a writ petition with the High Court."
"The irresponsibility of the health ministry has hurt us. The Ministry of Health has turned a blind eye to the deception of private hospitals. It has utterly failed to fulfill its responsibility," said the lawyer.
