Judicial proceedings of the sensational Rifat Sharif murder case resumed on Monday after five months. It had been halted over the coronavirus pandemic.
The trial against the adult accused began at the Barguna District and Sessions Judge's Court in the morning.
At that time, 10 accused, including Ayesha Siddika Minni, who is on bail, appeared before court.
The plaintiff's lawyer Mojibul Haq Kislu said, "The testimony of 76 witnesses will be read out to the accused in the court. Defendants will also be asked whether they will present defense witnesses and submit any documents. Judicial proceedings in the court may end today if the accused have no document to submit."

On September 1 the same year, police submitted two charge sheets to the same court accusing 14 juveniles and 10 adults in the case.
Of the adults accused, only Minni is on bail.
