Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) President Faruque Hassan requested the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) Chairman ABM Aminullah Nuri to repair the surrounding roads of the BGMEA Complex in Uttara.

Hassan requested Rajuk to repair the road that connects Sector – 12 to the BGMEA Complex and also urged them to construct a culvert at the Sarkar Bari area of Uttara.

He made the requests at the BGMEA office on Saturday during a meeting between the two organisations, read a press release.

A large number of officials from different garment factories travel to the BGMEA Complex every day for official purposes and repairing the roads will ease communications for them along with everyday commuters in the area, said Hasan.

Rajuk Chairman ABM Aminullah Nuri assured BGMEA President that the roads would be repaired on a priority basis.

BGMEA Vice President Md Shahidullah Azim, Vice President (Finance) Khandoker Rafiqul Islam, Vice President Md Nasir Uddin, and Director Md Mohiuddin Rubel attended the meeting.

Major (Engr) Shamsuddin Ahmed Chowdhury (Retd), Member Development, ASM Raihanul Ferdous, Chief Engineer (Project & Design), and Engr Ujjwal Mallick, Chief Engineer (Implementation), of Rajuk also attended the meeting.
