Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also the president of the incumbent Awami league, has said her party leaders and activists saved her every time attempts were made on her.
"I kept faith in the countrymen and my party leaders and they saved my life every time, sacrificing their lives," she said while addressing a party rally organized to mark the 15th anniversary of the gruesome grenade attack on August 21 back in 2004.
Sheikh Hasina said: "I knew my life was at risk always, yet I came back to fulfill the dream of Bangabandhu."
She also added that the terrorist attack was aimed at eliminating the entire Awami League leadership.
