A security guard of AB Bank’s ATM booth was killed by unidentified miscreants in Gazipur Board Bazar area early Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Jahangir Alam, 45.

Gachha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ismail Hossain said: “A group of masked miscreants entered into the ATM booth and hacked the guard indiscriminately.”

“CCTV footage shows the attackers fled the scene after killing him and did not take any money from the booth,” the OC added.

A customer saw the body on the following morning and informed police.

Later police recovered Jahangir's body from the booth and sent it to Shaheed Taj Uddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
