83 lower court judges, employees infected with Covid-19, one dies

A total of 21 judges and 62 employees of the lower courts across the country have been infected with Covid-19 till Saturday night, according to the Corona Monitoring Desk.

Meanwhile, one of the infected employees has died. 

Deceased Md Kawshar Mia worked at the District and Sessions Judge's Court, Madaripur.

On the other hand, Mohiuddin Mohan, an office assistant of Naogaon District and Sessions Judge's Court, died with Covid-19 like symptoms.
However, his coronavirus test report has not been received yet.

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Haque is monitoring the report of the Monitoring Desk run by the law ministry on a daily basis and taking the updates of the patients.

Law Secretary Md Golam Sarwar informs Anisul Haque about the daily report by 10:00 pm and takes measures as per the minister's direction.

However, two of the infected judges and one of the employees have already recovered. They are -- Netrokona District and Sessions Judge Md Shahjahan Kabir, Munshiganj Chief Judicial Magistrate Rokeya Rahman and Abdul Bari, an office assistant at Narayanganj District and Sessions Judge's Court.
