5.2 magnitude earthquake jolts Dhaka, different parts of country

A moderate earthquake of 5.2 magnitude on the Richter Scale jolted Dhaka and other parts of the country this morning.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicentre of the earthquake was in the Bay of Bengal. It added that the origin of the earthquake was 10 kilometres deep.

The jolts were felt in Chattogram, Dhaka, and other parts of Bangladesh at around 9am on Monday (5 December).
Bangladesh Meteorological Department said the origin of the earthquake was deep in the Bay of Bengal, 520 km southwest of the earthquake monitoring centre in Agargaon, Dhaka.
No injury or casualty has yet been reported.
