Two people were hacked to death at Narigada village of Santhia Upazila in Pabna district on Saturday morning over a land-related dispute.

The deceased were Munnaf, 35, son of Shakhawat Hossain, resident of the village and his cousin Nasir, 30, son of Shamsu Hossain of Baro Paiksha village.

Munnaf recently had bought a piece of land from one Shacchu Pramanik in Nariagada Bazar. There was a dispute with Sacchu's brother Bacchu over the boundary of the land.

Munnaf had started construction of a house in the morning as the matter was settled in the local arbitration, said Santhia Police Station Officer-in-Charge Asaduzzaman quoting to locals.

A group of people equipped with sharp weapons led by Bacchu attacked them and hacked them indiscriminately, leaving Nasir dead on the spot and several other construction workers including Munnaf injured critically.

Later, the injured Munnaf died on the way to the hospital.

Besides, two Construction workers--- Raushan and Harun- were sent to Pabna General Hospital.

On information, Police recovered the bodies, said the OC.
