Dhallywood film characters should get their own action figures too. Here is our proposed list
This character is almost similar to a hybrid of Tarzan and the Zorro. Played by actor Danny Sidak, Goriber Raja is the male lead of the film "Goriber Raja Robin Hood".
Goriber Raja would make a really good action figure. Since the character is a good Samaritan vigilante, his action figure could come with a lot of interactive props. For example, Raja wears a tiger skin costume. His arsenal includes bow and arrow, shotgun, sword, and knife. He has a beautiful white horse. A diorama set of himchori hills would work as the icing on a cake.
Remember Mr Howladar from "Palabi Kothay?" The film remains one of the best cult classics of Dhallywood. Humayun Faridi slipped into the shoes of Mr Howladar and played a misogynistic cum comedic villain role in this film.
Mr Howladar's eccentric persona makes him such a character - you would want to punch him in the face (if he existed in real life). A simple action figure of Mr Howladar, in his safari suit, might just sell like hot cakes.
This figure could be placed in any office with the tag "I am a misogynistic boss. Slap me". Anyway, no disrespect meant for the great Humayun Faridi!
If Moushumi plays a spoiled brat in a film, chances are there that she has a thing for her handsome chauffeurs. In this case, Moushumi is called "Memshaheb" by her chauffeur Omor Sani. Sani is the kind of driver who is always concerned about honesty.
Inevitably, Moushumi beats Sani with a whip. Weird fetish, huh?
Memshaheb Moushumi's action figure could be an antithesis to the typical damsel in distress ladies of Dhallywood. Moushumi, clad in a red gown and a whip in hand, could be an interesting addition to a collectors display case.
Vampire hunter Rubel
Action hero Rubel once played a vampire slayer in the film "Rokto Pipasha". Let us just face it, you cannot hate Rubel in a film, even if he plays a total rip-off of Van Helsing.
The chubby, not-so-fit vampire Rubel's action figure could be our answer to Hollywood. Rubel's character is simply referred to as "D" in "Rokto Pipasha". D rides a "goriber" Harley Davidson. He wears an oversized trench coat with fancy undershirts. He is adept at sword fights and gunslinging. Rubel's action figure of D would be a total bonker.
Gender bender Dipjol
Have you always hated the 2000s era body swap or gender bender rom coms? Well, our very own Dipjol might change your mind. Monowar Hossain Dipjol plays a criminal mastermind in the film "Heera Chuni Panna".
Wearing a Benarasi saree, Dipjol shadows as a woman throughout the film. In the climax, he reveals that, after all, he is none other than an organised crime lord. The very idea of Dipjol wearing a saree is the reason a "Gender bender Dipjol" action figure should be in the toy stores. Just not in the kids section.
