Sketch and entertainment shows, dramas and telefilms made exclusively for Eid time audiences has now become a tradition in our entertainment industry. The Eid-ul-Fitr this year, however, turned out to be a major disappointment as the lockdown forced most producers and creators to postpone their ongoing projects.
On June 1, artists and creators resumed work after the public holidays ended and have since been engaged in creating different forms of content with this Eid in mind. This has allowed the television channels to once again schedule all-day-long special programmes for the Eid holidays.
The TBS picks ten scheduled shows from a host of programmes planned for this Eid, that you cannot miss.
In Dhaka, tenants have to face many obstacles for a roof over their head. But an eccentric guy, played by Afran Nisho, could not care less. He starts living in his own car. His intention is to make the car an alternative to a home. He will keep every daily necessity in the car.
The drama, produced by CMV, is directed by Mizanur Rahman Aryan. The story was also written by him. Mehazabein Chowdhury is the co-artist of Nisho in the drama.
The drama will be aired on Deepto TV at 8.30 pm on the third day of Eid. Later it will available on the YouTube channel of CMVr it will.
Telefilm "The Passion" is produced by Sanjay Samaddar. Isteaque Ahmed wrote the story. The telefilm explores life of a young man named Azad and his tension with political intrigues. Azad confronts a big crisis as politics engulf his life.
It will be broadcast on Banglavision on the sixth day of Eid at 2:10 pm. Apurba and, Tanjin Tisha will be seen in the lead roles.
Moner Moti-Moner Goti
Well-known producer Hanif Sanket has produced Eid dramas like in the past few years. "Moner Moti-Moner Goti," looks at the corruption of opportunists amid the pandemic and the plight of ordinary people.
It is a social and family drama. Regarding the story of the play, Hanif Sanket said, "There is a class of people in our society who seek to gain by capitalising on the bad times of others. It is difficult to understand what they think or do. However, many people become better persons driven by the agony of their conscience or after coming in contact with honest people."
The drama was recorded at Fagun Audio Vision's shooting spot in Savar.
Chanchal Chowdhury, Tarin, Mir Sabbir, Nadia, Saeed Babu, Subhashish Bhowmik, Anwar Shahi and many others have played different roles in the play. It will be broadcast on Eid day at 8:20 pm on ATN Bangla.
Covid-19 creates distance among people, but there are exceptions too. Muntaha Britta has written a story about it and the Eid drama "Dekha Hobe" has been produced for RTV starring Tahsan and Monalisa, with Himel Ashraf as the director.
Tahsan plays the role of Tarif, who's ex-girlfriend secretly comes to see Tarif after he is infected by Covid-19. She provides food, medicine and notes from the other side of the door. The empathy from Julee, Tarif's ex, makes him regret his past decisions.
The drama, shot in America, will be telecast on RTV during the fourth day of Eid at 9:00 pm.
Babara Shob Pare
Written by Pappu Raj, the drama "Babara Shob Pare" is directed by SM Kamruzzaman Sagar. The drama stars Shahiduzzaman Selim, Shatabdi Wadud, Golam Farida Chhanda, Shanerai Devi Shanu, and many more.
Regarding the story, the director said that every father plays a pivotal role in a child's life. Sometimes, a father has to make sacrifices for his child that no other person could.
The drama will be aired on Eid on Maasranga TV at 7:30 pm.
Director Ashfaq Nipun is making a new telefilm called "Victim," which will be broadcast on Banglavision on the third day of Eid at 2:10 pm. The telefilm stars Aupee Karim, Afran Nisho, Safa Kabib and others.
Actor Nirab and Emon will be seen hosting a ten day-long programme called "Anando Samay."The show will include many celebrities, and we can watch it on ATN Bangla.
Twenty stars will appear in 10 episodes of the show. Each episode contains a different story.
The duration of each episode is 42 minutes.
Ananta Jalil-Barsha, Misha Saudagar-Mahiya Mahi, Simon-Nipun, Amit Hasan-Keya, Sajal-Irene, Arfin Rumi-Parshi, Anisur Rahman Milon-Ratna, Roshan- Shehtaz, Ivan Shahriar's Sohag-Anchal, Shirin Shila-Nijhum Rubina are the stars we can root for in the show.
Krishoker Eid Anondo
Just like every Eid, Sheikh Siraj's "Krishaker Eid Anando" will portray the smiles and tears of the farmers. The participation of farmers in various sports, traditional events, and wonderful stories from home and abroad can be seen in the show. Among other interesting segments in the show, "Search for the source of the Nilans," "Nuremberg Trials," "The search for Vasco da Gama" will be interesting to watch. Actress Babita will make a special appearance with her story too.
Produced, directed, and hosted by Sheikh Siraj, the show will broadcast on Channel I at 4.30 pm the day after Eid.
Joler Gaaner Dol
On July 31, at 10:30 pm, "Joler Gaan" will be live with their songs on Dipta TV. Artists will have conversations in-between the songs. The group will perform according to audience requests.
The show will be produced by Saifur Rahman Sujan and Masud Mia.
BTV will host popular magazine show Ityadi. Just like last Eid, the major part of Ityadi will be a compilation of different old shows and footage. But some parts are new, such as the special tribute to the late singer Andrew Kishore.
Ityadi will also feature a special drama of the late actor Humayun Faridi and a lot of funny dance, song, and sketches, with the participation of popular stars.
Composed, directed and presented by Hanif Sanket, Ityadi will be broadcast simultaneously on BTV and BTV World on the third day of Eid after Bangla news at 8 pm.
