Female engineering students in 3rd/4th year can apply for the programme until 23 November
Banglalink has recently launched Womentor, a programme designed to provide skills development facilities and firsthand corporate experiences to female engineering students.
In this six-month programme, selected candidates will be mentored by experienced female professionals of Banglalink, a digital communications service providers in the country, according to a press statement.
Female engineering students in the 3rd or 4th year of their undergraduate studies can apply for the programme. The registration began on 13 November and will continue until 23 November.
Following the primary evaluation of the submitted CVs, multiple screening rounds will be carried out to select the mentees, the press release read.
Starting from next January, the programme will continue for six months.
The mentees selected finally will get the opportunity to participate in other Banglalink programmes such as Learn from the Startup, Campus to Corporate and Advanced Internship Programme. They will receive certificates of completion as well.
Monzula Morshed, chief human resources and administration officer of Banglalink, said, "Empowering talented youngsters has always been one of our key objectives. We believe that this unique programme will provide young female engineering students an opportunity to get exposure to the corporate world and develop key professional skills."
The valuable lessons learned from mentors will surely make them more competent as future professionals, she added.
Banglalink will continue to take initiatives for opening up more youth empowerment opportunities, the press release added.
